THIRD:     The Bottom Dollar String Band is playing BLUEGRASS music!!

This Saturday - Poor Pitiful Pearl is back at the Market!

Memorial Day Weekend was a great success!  Lary played the bagpipes, the Yeahman Swing Dancers gave dance lessons, and “The Foibles” played ‘Yellow Submarine’ on special request.  We also debuted our new Shade Haven!  If you are interested in renting it for an event, please call the Farmers Market office at 830-629-2223.  It will be on display on market Saturdays for several more weeks.  Come and see it! 

This Saturday we will celebrate our FIFTH BIRTHDAY and 2 Tarts Bakery is making a birthday cake! Our loyal and local farmers are Braune Farms, M&R Farms, Naegelin Farms, Markley Family Farm, Peralta Farm, Sproutworks, and Johnson’s Backyard Garden. Every week they harvest their crops and bring you fresh, local produce.

This Saturday we will also introduce a new vendor. Have you heard about Crepelandia? They make fresh and delicious crepes with ingredients from your local farmers. Check out this cool video!

To celebrate this special birthday we will also have Bramaya West African Drum & Dance. They will do a presentation and lesson at 10am and 11:30am. Check out their Facebook page here.

Make sure you take the kids around the corner to the Crooked Wood booth. For a small donation to Family Promise of Greater New Braunfels, they can paint a birdhouse made of reclaimed wood. Check out this valuable organization here This Saturday will be loads of fun! Bring the family, bring the dog, and come celebrate with us!

Mom Tart, of the 2Tarts booth at our farmers market, wants you to know that it's time to order your Thanksgiving pies! And they are going to be set up for you to do just that, at the market tomorrow!

The 2Tarts folks make all their pies from scratch...Apple Cinnamon, Apple Rosemary, Blackberry, Buttermilk, Cherry, Key Lime, Peanut Butter, Peach, Pecan, Pumpkin, Strawberry Rhubarb. And they are only $19.95 each!

Want to order pies for Thanksgiving. Be sure to stop by 2Tarts special display at the market, and place your order. The deadline for ordering is this Monday, November 24th.

We hope you saw the special Dia de Los Muertos display at our market this past Saturday. The display was prepared by Pauline Stevens.

Dia de los Muertos is a holiday observed in Mexico, and other parts of the world. Participants make decorative altars to honor and remember deceased loved ones.

From Pauline: "It is said that we died twice; Once when we pass away, the second time when we are forgotten. Dia de los Muertos is a time to remember and honor the memory of someone we lost. A time to celebrate their lives by allowing ourselves to miss, laugh and even cry a little."

This Saturday we welcome Farm to Juice (from San Antonio) to the market! Come visit them and have a nutritionally dense and delicious juice.

Farm to Juice will offer a diverse combination of juiced fruits and vegetables. Healthy shots!

Farm to Market vendor The Nut Doctor are adding almond flour and cashew flour to their product line, sold exclusively at New Braunfels Farm to Market on Saturdays.
